Picosecond pulses — 100× faster than nanosecond lasers
PicoSure delivers ultra-short bursts of energy in trillionths of a second. This creates a photomechanical impact rather than a photothermal one — shattering pigment and stimulating collagen without burning the skin surface.
The Focus Lens Array magnifies the pulse 20 times
Microscopic photomechanical reactions in the epidermis communicate with the dermis — triggering collagen and elastin production. Comparable to CO2 lasers in results, but without any pain or downtime.
All three skin layers treated in one session
Epidermal pigment, mid-dermal wrinkles, and deep-dermal laxity are all addressed. The result is smoother, clearer, firmer skin — addressing concerns that previously required multiple different treatments.
Results continue for up to 6 months post-treatment
After your course of treatments, collagen and elastin production continues building for approximately 6 months — meaning your skin keeps improving long after your final session.

What to expect at Laser Skin Centre
Our accredited laser technicians assess your skin type, concerns, and goals. We explain the PicoSure Focus treatment in full — including expected outcomes, number of sessions, aftercare, and any risks specific to your skin. You will never be pressured to proceed.
Each session takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes from cleansing to post-care. A numbing cream may be applied 20 minutes before for comfort. You may experience mild redness that typically resolves within 2 to 24 hours — and you're good to go.
Results continue developing between sessions as collagen and elastin production builds. After your course of treatments, your skin continues improving for approximately 6 months. Your technician monitors your progress and adjusts your protocol as needed.

Alessandra was a Div 2 Medications Endorsed Enrolled Nurse for five years before her passion for cosmetic dermal therapies began. She undertook a Vocational Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Nursing via GrayClay Medical Aesthetic Clinic at Southport to pursue her passion — and has never looked back.
Ciara is a professional and passionate dermal therapist with 4 years experience in the industry. Graduating from The French Beauty Academy and holding three Diplomas, her favourite treatment is Laser Genesis for its instant glow and immediate results — and she especially loves treating stubborn hormonal pigmentation and Melasma.

There is no downtime with PicoSure Focus treatments. You may experience mild redness that typically resolves within 2 to 24 hours. Most clients return to their regular activities immediately. This is one of PicoSure's key advantages over ablative laser treatments which can require days of recovery.
The number of sessions depends on your individual skin concerns. For general skin rejuvenation, most clients require 2 to 5 sessions. For pigmentation and age spots, significant improvement is often visible in 2 to 3 sessions. For tattoo removal, 4 to 10 sessions may be required. Your laser technician will recommend a schedule at your consultation based on your skin assessment.

PicoSure is the only FDA-approved laser for melasma treatment. At Laser Skin Centre, we have developed proven protocols specifically for clients with Melasma and hormonal pigmentation, built over years of clinical experience with this condition. Melasma requires a carefully managed approach — our team will assess your individual case at consultation.
Each PicoSure session takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes from skin cleansing to post-care. If numbing cream is applied, allow an additional 20 minutes before the session begins. The laser itself works very quickly — the treatment portion is typically 10 to 20 minutes depending on the area being treated.
PicoSure Focus can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, hands and arms — anywhere sun damage, pigmentation or ageing has affected the skin. Many clients choose to treat multiple areas for an all-round rejuvenated appearance.
Sun protection is essential following PicoSure treatment — a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily, and avoiding direct sun exposure for the recommended period. Your technician will provide written aftercare instructions. We recommend avoiding retinol or harsh exfoliants in the days immediately following treatment. Good home skincare between sessions protects your results and supports continued improvement.
